Training

We are putting together a set of training packages which will be targeted at various groups of people using TAP including:

  • Speech and language therapy students
  • Newly qualified teachers
  • Speech and language therapy departments
  • Specialist teachers
  • Teaching assistants
  • Class teachers

The contents of each package will include - as appropriate for those attending - a discussion on the P-scales and the National Curriculum and how they relate to language development, using the site to find appropriate speech and language activities, the use of these activities in schools with individuals and within the class situation, how to write, edit and upload TAP activities sheets, using TAP in the foundation stage and in primary and secondary schools. Different lengths of training will also be available, from an hour's session to a full day.

The Targets and Activities Project is run independently and is supported by Tower Hamlets PCT Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Service and Tower Hamlets Education.
